Liz Schneider was born and raised in rural Kidder County on a 4th generation family farm and truly understands the value of hard work. She attended the University of Mary and achieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in History and for the past 2 years, has been working with disabled and special needs children in the Bismarck-Mandan area. Liz became more aware and involved in politics during the aftermath of the Great Recession and being witness to the destruction of America’s Middle Class. In her spare time, Liz likes to travel, read, write, watch football, and be with her family and dogs. She is also a strong advocate for women’s rights, healthcare reform, agriculture, public education, animal welfare, LGBTQIA rights, and green energy research and expansion. Some of Liz’s biggest political inspirations include Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon B. Johnson, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren. Liz simply wants to achieve and maintain equal rights and equal opportunity for every North Dakotan regardless of race, religion, gender, income, or sexual orientation.
